· Attending to and treating medically and surgically routine and emergency ear, nose and throat related conditions at
major hospitals and in private practice in Nairobi. Special interest in Ear surgery.
Head of ENT Section, Appointed Consultant and Faculty Member with The Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi
· Regular outpatient clinics, operations and in-patient care for
hospital patients.
· Teaching/Supervision of Post Graduate Students
· Member of the Minimal Access surgery committee
· Was Chairman of the 2004 International Scientific Conference Committee.
Lecturer, Department of Medical Physiology, University of Nairobi.
· Teaching ENT-related Medical Physiology including Special senses, Respiratory, Cardiovascular physiology and
Physiological Control systems.
· Lecturing to and examining Post-graduates in MMed. ENTSurgery, MMed. Surgery, MMed. Maxillofacial Surgery, MMed. Anaesthesia and MMed. Psychiatry.
· Supervision of Post Graduate Students in MSc. Physiology
· Lecturing to and examining undergraduates in Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Nursing.
· Supervision of Practicals and tutorials.
· From 1998 to 2002 was the Department Examination officer.
· Involved in Clinical research in Tympanoplasty, Otosclerosis, Brainstem evoked response audiometry and auditory verbal training.
